These remedies I will give are according to the teachings of two Mahāyāna Sūtras of the Buddhadharma, which are the Noble Śūraṅgama Mahāyāna Sūtra and the Noble Laṅkāvatāra Mahāyāna Sūtra.
So the remedies are to not eat the five pungent roots, which are garlic, onions, shallots, scallions and leeks, to have a more vegetarian or vegan diet as much as one can, and to have a vegan lifestyle as much as one can.
According to the Noble Śūraṅgama, if one eats the five pungent roots, that will make one to have a bad mouth smell. This smell will chase away the good spiritual entities and in turn will attract bad spiritual entities like hungry ghosts [pretas]. These bad spiritual entities will be very attached to that smell.
The result of this, according to the Noble Śūraṅgama, is that things in our lives will go wrong.
Now expanding this topic considering information from other sources, by chasing the good spiritual entities away from us and attracting the negative ones, not only things in our lives will go wrong, because these beings will attract bad luck and bad things into our lives, but also our health will become worse. Because these beings bring illnesses. They also bring poverty.
Now according to the Noble Laṅkāvatāra, to eat meat has more or less the same effect. The meat smell of our mouths will drive the good spiritual entities away and in turn draw the negative ones.
The vegan diet and lifestyle according to the Noble Śūraṅgama has the benefit of one to stop creating karmic debts with the beings which one uses the items that were made through things that belonged to them.
If we have many karmic creditors, if these beings are born in the spirit realm, they will be able to get near us and they will want us to pay our debts. So this will also bring problems to our lives.
So these are the remedies. If you wish to improve your lives, maybe you should think in applying them.
All the best for you all.
