These Aghorīs seem to be from the Śākta Tradition of Hinduism. In the Śākta Tradition, the Goddess Śakti is the supreme being of the universe. In this tradition the divine is worshiped mainly on the feminine form. As far as I know, Aghorīs belong to the Tantric tradition. They do extreme practices and some kinda act like crazy. But their extreme practices should be related with overcoming fear and the training of perceiving the divine in everything.
